Confessions For Christian Students in 2014-15   1 comment

The older I get, the more value I see in a good education. Ps – I’m not that old, I’m just making an observation. Don’t buy me false teeth…

How many students start a year of school and don’t have hopes and plans to do better, least of all Christian students? We always say good things to ourselves to keep ourselves going. (Or, at least we should.) Well, just like in years past, I’ve made a quick page of positive confessions for Christian students!

The Bibleย says death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), so go right ahead and breathe more life into your school, college, or university year and say these confessions with me! Don’t forget to read the scriptures too. Let’s go…

Say It Loud, Say It Proud

I am a good student, I love knowledge, and I am always ready to learn. (Proverbs 18:15)

From beginning until the end I will do my best, and my best will be good enough because the Lord will fight for me. (Exodus 14:14)

I am a reader, and I am hungry to learn more. (Proverbs 15:14)

Like Apostle Paul was called, I am called by God and I will distinguish myself in my field. (1 Corinthians 1:1)

Where I have failed I will succeed, and where I have succeeded I will excel. I’m reaching forward in Jesus’ name. (Philippians 3:13)

I am the head of my class and not at the bottom! I will exceed anybody’s expectations set for me, and I am above any predicted grades because I am the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

I will seek the kingdom of God FIRST because my priorities are in order. I will pray and read the God’s Word frequently, more than before! As I seek God and study, good grades will come to me. (Matthew 6:33)

I pray you will have an uplifting and memorable school year in Jesus’ name. ๐Ÿ™‚

Confessions For a Christian Student in 2013 – 2014   Leave a comment

One day I will wear and hold these two things…

The school season is in full swing and my second year of uni is about to roll. Like last year, I thought I’d write a few confessions to speak over the next year, as death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) Fellow follower of Jesus and studious pupil, you can join me in saying these confessions if you desire… ๐Ÿ™‚

This year will be greater than the past year, and the year before that because my latter end will greatly increase. (Job 8:7)

My relationship with God will not decrease, and my church attendance will not fall off a cliff. It will be steady, and I will increase in favour with God and man. (Luke 2:52)

Like the ant that needs no supervision to do it’s work, I do not need supervision to work in my own time. I will study diligently in my free time. (Proverbs 6:6-8)

I will not sleep when I need to study. (Proverbs 6:9-11)

I will fulfil all of my deadlines; my yes will mean yes. (Matthew 5:37)

Because I wait on the Lord, my strength will be renewed day by day to study. I will not let tiredness be an excuse to not study. (Isaiah 40:31)

I enjoy learning, and I will increase my personal learning because I am wise. (Proverbs 1:5)

I have a mind to work!

I will study hard in Jesus’ name!

“God first, your school books second, and everything thing else last.” – Reverend William Sasu

A few weeks ago I started university, and I felt the need to write a few confessions to say through the year. Can I share them with you? ๐Ÿ˜€ The Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), meaning that I can breathe life into this new phase of my life by speaking. I’ve done university level work before but never on this new subject, but with these confessions I will shape my life in Jesus’ name. If you are a little anxious about school and want something to stand on, you can pray and say these with me if you want.

Note: these are mostly from the Word of God. I highly recomend you check out the scriptures beside the words. ๐Ÿ™‚

I insist on the highest standard. I am not a mediocre student, rather I am a first class student. As I try to obey God, I am above only and never beneath. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

I am a good student. I love knowledge, and I am always ready to learn. (Proverbs 18:15)

I will exceed any human expectations set before me, and I am above any predicted grades because I am the head and not the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

I am a reader, and I am hungry to learn. (Proverbs 15:14)

Through this year I will do my best, and my best will be good enough because the Lord will fight for me. (Exodus 14:14)

I will NEVER be depressed or despondent about my past in school – this year I am forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward in Jesus’ name. (Philippians 3:13-14)

No weapon formed against me will prosper – I will never be too sick or too lazy at any point this year to reach my full potential. (Isaiah 54:17)

If I lack understanding in any subject, the Lord will anoint me and make me of quick understanding. (Isaiah 11:3)

I will work hard consistently through this year because thi is what my hands have found to do. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

I am disciplined in every way as a disciple of Jesus. I am well organised in my school work, controlled in my attendance, and regimented in my study schedule. I will pay the price for good grades. (Luke 14:31-33)

I will not forget about the Lord as I study. I will pray regularly and read the Bible frequently, more than before! As I seek the kingdom, good grades will be added unto me. (Matthew 6:33)

Say aloud, “I am able, more than able to prevail and to win this battle. Though a thousand fall at my side and ten thousand at my left hand, I shall survive. I am a survivor in the name of Jesus!”Dag Heward Mills, The Art of Leadership (AOL 49)
